Last updated: 12-Apr-2023

Introduction

NumisBid sells collectables on behalf of public and private vendors. These terms and conditions govern the participation of bidders when using the NumisBid platform. By participating in this auction, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Definitions

Eligibility

To participate in the auction, bidders must be at least 18 years old and have not been previously barred from using NumisBid services.

Bidding

Bidders must register and create an account with the NumisBid platform to place bids.
Bids may only be placed in Australian dollars.
Bids may be placed in the form of a live bid or a pre-auction proxy bid.
By placing a bid, the bidder guarantees to pay for the lot at the winning bid if they place the highest bid on the lot.

Bid Increments

Bid increments are as followed.

Bids must be placed in the specified increments.

Winning Bid

The bidder who placed the highest bid by the close of the auction will be deemed the buyer.
In the case of a live bid, the winning amount shall be the highest bid placed by the buyer.
In the case of a proxy bid, the winning amount shall be the lesser of one bidding increment above the second highest bid, and the proxy bid amount.

Payment

The buyer must pay for the winnings within three (3) business days of the close of the auction.
Payment must be made in Australian dollars.
Payment must be made by either bank transfer or Paypal.

Shipping

The auction house will ship the coins to the buyer within five (5) business days of the close of the auction subject to payment having been made in accordance with the payment policy, and the buyer having informed the company of their postal address, unless the buyer has made a request for alternate shipping or collection arrangements.

Shipping fees will be the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to the total amount due.

The company will insure shipments at a cost to the buyer of one percent (1%), unless the buyer makes their own shipping or collection arrangements.

Insurance coverage is limited to loss or damage that occurs in transit to the buyer due to either the negligence of the company, the failure of the transit service used, or both.

The company has full discretion on whether to entertain alternate shipping requests. Buyers making alternate shipping requests assume full responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs as a result.

Descriptions

The company guarantees lot descriptions provided on the NumisBid platform to be a fair opinion consistent with industry standards.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between bidders and the company will be resolved in accordance with Australian law.

Modifications

The auction house reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Bidders should check the terms and conditions before participating in each auction.

Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the auction house and bidders and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

By participating in the auction, bidders acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
